The Carolina Hurricanes are bringing back Jeff Daniels as an assistant coach.

General manager Don Waddell announced the hiring of Daniels on Monday and completed the staff for new coach Rod Brind’Amour.

The 49-year-old Daniels was an assistant with the team from 2003-08 Chris Harris Jr Jersey , was part of the staff that won the Stanley Cup in 2006 and has been the organization’s manager of pro scouting since 2015.

He also coached the Hurricanes’ AHL affiliate in Charlotte from 2008-15, and has worked in player development and scouting for Carolina.

Waddell says Brind’Amour ”has a great understanding for the experience and knowledge that he brings to the table.”

More NHL hockey: The New York Jets have signed running back Thomas Rawls and linebacker Neville Hewitt.

The Jets announced the moves Friday. In need of help at running back after starter Matt Forte retired, New York turned to Rawls Sylvester Williams Jersey , who spent three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, starting 17 games. He gained 1,336 yards and scored seven touchdowns on 314 carries for a 4.3-yard average. The 24-year-old Rawls also had 31 receptions for 266 yards and one TD.

Rawls Ibraheim Campbell Jersey , who went undrafted out of Central Michigan, has been plagued by injuries, including a broken leg in 2016.

Hewitt went undrafted in 2015 but spent the past three seasons with the Dolphins either on the active roster or practice squad. He has 104 tackles Jay Prosch Jersey , one sack, four passes defensed and one interception for his career.
