The Seattle Seahawks are keeping defensive end Dion Jordan after placing an original-round tender on the restricted free agent.
Seattle announced the move Wednesday. Jordan Sam Acho Jersey , a former first-round pick with Miami, restarted his career with Seattle last season. He appeared in five games late in the season and had four sacks in his limited action.
Jordan will make $1.907 million for the 2018 season, or Seattle would have a chance to match or receive a first-round pick if Jordan were to sign an offer sheet elsewhere.
The Seahawks placed a second-round tender on cornerback Justin Coleman after he thrived as Seattle's slot cornerback last season. Seattle did not give tenders to running backs Mike Davis and Thomas Rawls Abry Jones Jersey , making them both unrestricted free agents.
Seattle gave qualifying offers to exclusive-rights free agents center Joey Hunt, running back J.D. McKissic, long snapper Tyler Ott Dre Kirkpatrick Jersey , and defensive ends Branden Jackson and Quinton Jefferson.
The New Orleans Saints have signed veteran running back Shane Vereen in a move that could help the club respond to Mark Ingram’s early season suspension.
Vereen, whose signing was announced by the club on Wednesday, has served as a runner and receiver with New England and the New York Giants during seven NFL seasons.
He gained 838 yards from scrimmage and scored five touchdowns for the Patriots‘ 2014 squad that won the Super Bowl.

Ingram, who was New Orleans’ leading rusher last season, has been suspended four games for use of a banned substance.
