Vasquez-USA TODAY SportsRound one of the 2019 NFL Draft was VERY good to the Washington Redskins. One may actually go so far as to say that it was absolutely perfect. Washington filled arguably its two biggest needs by landing what some believe was the draft’s best quarterback and a top 10 talent at EDGE rusher. But Trent Williams Jersey , there are still some needs that exits, and one has very closely ties to our new quarterback. How unbelievable would it be to pair Dwayne Haskins with his former Ohio State teammate Parris Campbell? Or maybe a guy like Hakeem Butler is he fell a bit into the second round? Most draft pundits have Campbell, and many of the other top wide receivers, planted squarely in round two. In fact, for wide receiver-needy teams, round two is definitely where it’s at this year. The problem is, the Redskins don’t have their second round pick any longer after trading it, and next year’s second in what was a BRILLIANT decision to move back into round one and select Montez Sweat, a stud EDGE rusher from Miss. St. who slipped because of some medical concerns. What the Redskins do have are two third round picks, that could potentially be packaged a bit later on in round two to move back into that round for a pass-catching target for Haskins. Below are the top wide receivers left on the board after Thursday night’s action:D.K. Metcalf6’3” 2254.33 40Hakeem Butler6’6” 225 - 4.48 40A.J. Arcega-Whiteside6’2” 225 - 4.49 40The Redskins could decide to sit tight and see if any players from this list slip into round three, or target some of the guys many consider mid-round receiver prospects.RD3 Targets:Stanley Morgan Jr6’0” 202 - 4.53 40Mecole Hardman5’10” 187 - 4.33 40Miles Boykin6’4” 220 - 4.42 40Andy Isabella5’10” 195 - 4.31 40DaMarkus Lodge6’2” 200 - 4.55 40David Sills6’3” 211 - 4.57 40Emanuel Hall6’2” 200 - 4.39 40There is another option on the table, and that is trading a pick this year, or a conditional pick in 2020, for a veteran wide receiver. Some names that have been mentioned are Mohamed Sanu(Falcons), John Ross(Bengals), or the two unlikely ones - A.J. Green(Bengals) and Stefon Diggs(Vikings). There is also the chance the Redskins sit tight and wait for a veteran wide receiver to be released by his team this summer. Whatever direction the team decides to go Alex Smith Jersey , it would be wise to get new quarterback Dwayne Haskins a weapon for him to begin developing some chemistry with, and someone with the potential to become a future go-to guy. One week until the mocks stop!"ESPN’s Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, Jr. have combined to do a 3 round mock draft one week before the 1st round of the 2019 NFL draft starts. The two draft prognosticators switched picks back and forth to provide the first 102 picks.McShay started it off for the Redskins in the first round by taking Oklahoma WR Marquise Brown at #15. He mentions that the top three QBs are off the board, leaving Daniel Jones sitting there, but Washington opts to go Hollywood instead.Mel Kiper, Jr. gets the call next and gives the Redskins a player to fill another big need this year. Preston Smith left in free agency, leaving an underwhelming Ryan Anderson asthe projected starter opposite Ryan Kerrigan. Enter Michigan OLB Chase Winovich, a very talented pass rusher who could be in the starting lineup early in his career.Kiper also gets to pick both of the Redskins 3rd round picks in this collaborative mock. Kiper goes for another defender with Washington first pick in this round. Kentucky CB Lonnie Johnson joins a Redskins secondary that has some big question marks this season. Jay Gruden wants Josh Norman to play up to his hype and contract. Quinton Dunbar had a mystery nerve injury last year that sidelined him. Fabian Moreau has been underwhelming, and the Redskins have some young players fighting for position at the bottom of the depth chart.Kiper mentions getting a QB with the Redskins first pick in 3rd round, but waits until pick #96 to get their young signal caller. West Virginia’s Will Grier has received a lot of love from Washington, and Head Coach Jay Gruden, in the pre-draft process. If they don’t grab a QB early, or trade for Josh Rosen, Grier is definitely in play in the 3rd round(and possibly earlier).
